wingit: Surpassing Sunwell Plateau

Been busy this week!
On Friday we kicked off the day with Black Temple, However Akaize was having a great deal of lag issues and we spent at an estimated time of about an hour minimum just chilling by the summoning stone. Our chat windows spammed with:
'Akaize has gone offline.'
'Akaize has come online.'

Boring! But in the end I couldn't wait any longer.
After having to postpone the Black Temple run from the previous day because Zaifon and I had a powercut -all day-. 'LET'S JUST GO AND.. WINGIT' I shouted over the VC, and we did just that.
Fortunately Akaize's connection cleared up, Unfortunately the [Warglaives of Azzinoth] did not drop, Although Zaifon is now the proud owner of the [Bullwark of Azzinoth], and the pair of them both got a [Cursed Vision of Sargeras] we are true demon hunters now!

We also went back to Sartharion+3 to grab Akaize his [Reins of the Black Drake]!
As the three of us now have them!
BLACK DRAKE BUDDIES!

We are going to try to sell the mount boost next week for a price around 600g, we'll see how it goes. Hopefully we'll get some cash out of some nubber.

Onyxia did not drop a mount this week.

With mount bosses on our mind we also noted that Vault of Archavon drops [Reins of the Grand Black War Mammoth] so we decided to try our luck there.
We managed to clear the place but no mount this week.

Malygos! he drops a mount let's kill him!
[Reins of the Azure Drake]
Now I do recall commenting before about how I thought we couldn't do him, I was so very, very wrong.
The drakes in phase 3 do not scale with our gear ilevel or our current level very well so the damage output wasn't especially high, although it was still doable, the rest of the encounter was a piece of cake.
But the selfish old drake also refused to drop a mount.

IF YOU DON'T DROP THEM NOW GUYS WE WILL BE FORCED TO FARM YOU UNTIL YOU DO! TAKE HEED!.
And no, I still don't have [Reins of the Raven Lord]...

Akaize has also banged on about Sunwell Plateau for the longest time, he's always wanted to go there and clear it.
So we decided to treat him, he even took the night off his rated BG's to do it; Eager Beaver!
Most of the bosses were easy, the only one we had troubles on was Brutallus who caused us a great deal of brain ache as we had to try several different tactics to make the fight work for us.
But eventually we got him so all ended well.
Oh, and Kil'jaeden made us poop our pants a little in the fear that he might drop the legendary bow [Thori'dal the stars' fury]. Since none of us can equip the item and Aeon still needs the bow for [We are Legendary] it would be pretty rubbish if it dropped for us. There was no one online that could equip a bow other than Nott at the time and in all honesty I highly doubt we could get Nott into SWP kicking and screaming.
Luckily it didn't drop or we would've had to make an oath to secrecy and never tell anyone it dropped.
The future is covered though as Hrad has agreed to come for the Kil'Jaeden kills to steal the bow if it drops.
Here's our killshots!
Clicky, clicky fullsize?

Oh and I almost forgot, we nipped into Serpentshrine Cavern and slapped Lady Vashj with a fish.
We just wanted to down her so we officially have Serpentshrine Cavern complete!
That means we have completed all of the Burning Crusade content! Roll on WotLK >:]

  2. Get the PRETTIEST MOUNT in the game (fiery bird) and you'll forget all about stupid Anzu. Cause let's face it, the mount is crap ugly any way right? RIGHT!

Now go go clear ICC and then onto heroic modes!
